We had a great time last weekend Trick-or-treating with our little Pooh Bear! Ellyson loved her costume, but was not so wild about her black nose! She couldn't understand why everyone's nose wasn't painted black like hers. We visited our neighbors and partied with the youth from the church who came over for a costume party. It was definitely an eventful weekend.
We had our first annual pumpkin carving party this past weekend! We had a really good time, but Ellyson's pumpkin didn't quite turn out like the cover of Martha Stewart! :) All the nephews and nieces had a great time and ate super good food...nice meatballs Auntie Cindy! We are getting excited for Halloween and going trick-or-treating. Ellyson can't say trick-or-treat, though...all we have so far is "knock-knock!" Pooh Bear pictures to come....
We had a great time at the Chesterfield Pumpkin Patch on Saturday! It was a great, cool day to pick out pumpkins. Ellyson had a great time seeing all the animals and feeding the rabbits. We rode the hayride to the pumpkin patch and then Ellyson picked the perfect ones! Daddy had the hard job of taking them all back to the car! We can't wait for the upcoming weeks...carving pumpkins, Halloween party with the youth, and going to see Angela and Gran! Happy Fall!
We are both sad and happy to see Summer come to an end. We are excited about football season and pumpkins, but sad that beach trips are no longer! Ellyson has had a full summer. We took another quick trip to Hatteras with the Baer's in August which was tons of fun. Anna Reid, Luke and Ellyson all had a great time playing together. Ellyson moved up to the toddler room at school the first of September and does all kinds of cool stuff...art, circle time, napping on a mat! We get lots of very wonderful art work that comes home in the afternoon! She is learning all kinds of new words, but her favorites are still "ice, shoes, uh-oh, momma, da-da, and of course....NO!" She definitely has a mind of her own and the temper that she gets from her daddy is already starting to show! Check back soon for pumpkin patch pictures!
We spent a week at Ocean Isle with my mom and Rich's parents last week. Ellyson had a BLAST! She absolutely loved the beach and spent hours out on the sand building castles and staying super busy! She was wonderful and loved swimming. We have been practicing swimming in the bathtub for awhile, so she got to practice all her new skills! Angela even came to visit us for a day or two!!! Ellyson was excited to see her Auntie Angela! Although our week was well this week, we do miss the beach and the sun. Ellyson turned into one brown bunny, despite the SPF 50 we applied several times a day.
I am falling down on the job of updating this thing, I guess! Ellyson had a birthday in March and we had a great Bunny-party, where everyone was required to wear bunny-ears! Angela brought the awesome bunny-cake, although EC wasn't all that keen on people staring at her and singing. She liked the cake a lot better the next morning for breakfast, though! We are gearing up for summer and excited for all the fun things we have planned. Beach....here we come!
