Happy New Year!

Hope everyone has had a Merry Christmas and is preparing for 2009! Rich and I finally made it to Richmond the middle of December. Rich starts work next Sunday so the past few weeks we have been unpacking and getting all settled in. We love our new house and it is going to be wonderful for the baby. My mom came to visit us for Christmas and we spent good time with Rich and all his family. All the nephews and Kelsey came over for a fun night of baking cookies and spending the night to celebrate Christmas. The boys weren't too into making cookies, but for some reason they enjoyed eating all our hard work!!! Now, we are just awaiting our new arrival, painting the nursery and getting everything ready. We are really excited. She is moving all around and there are days when I think she might arrive earlier than later!! I hope this new year brings you as many blessings as it is going to bring us!

Back in Durham....

We're back from Orlando and have landed in Durham for the weekend. Although it took us awhile on Friday to get out of Orlando and Atlanta because of weather, we finally made it to Charlotte. We had a great time on vacation. The weather was great and we got to lay out several days in nice, hot weather! Rich had a blast riding all the roller coasters....the baby and I had a great time taking pictures of him!!! :) I will post pictures when we get back home. Right now we are looking forward to the baby shower tomorrow and seeing friends we haven't seen in while, thanks to Angela. Then, we are finally on our way home to retrieve our precious puppy, who is probably highly upset with us for leaving her for so long. We are just hoping that it didn't snow on her this weekend. Sounds like it has been cold in our neck of the woods.

Getting Ready For Vacation

Although Rich is at the VT game tonight, I am packing and getting ready to go on our last vacation before the baby comes! Rich planned a special vacation for us for our 4th anniversary. We are going to Orlando for the week, which we are super-thrilled about. Our hotel has a pool and a swim-up bar, which Rich is so excited about!! :) We are going to Universal and hopefully, Sea World. Then we'll end up in Raleigh next weekend for the baby shower that Angela is throwing us! It will be an exciting week!

She's Kicking....

Our little girl is growing up quick. She kicks me all the time....especially early in the morning and late at night. We've registered, got her bedding and we think we're all ready to go! Mimi, Pop and Gran are all ready for her to get here too! See our cute little pictures below!

It's A Girl!

Well, we got the good news today and we're having a girl! We were so excited this morning when our ultra-sound lady told us she was pretty sure of the sex. She was moving all around and would not give us a profile shot, but we got good pictures of her BIG feet. We are hoping she will be tall and skinny....maybe volleyball player, swimmer, gymnast????!!! Rich is super excited and said that he will only allow her to date Luke Baer! Gosh....do we really want to be related to Matt???!!! :) Just kidding, Matt!

Rich is back....

Finally....Rich got back from his mission trip. They got back a little while ago tonight. The kids did lots of work with no complaining and they only had one day of rain. He is tired, but thankful for the week of hard work. We are ready for bed and even more ready to wake up in the morning to go to the doctor. I think reality will set in tomorrow when we find out what is growing in my belly! We are excited!

Rich is off to TN...

Today at 2:00, Rich took a bunch of Crossnore kids to Smyrna, TN on a mission trip. They've only been gone a few hours, but of course Bella and I are already missing them. They are building and doing maintenance on a low-income neighborhood there. Rich has taken the kids there before...this is their 3rd year. They were all VERY excited about it and will have a great time, I'm sure. They all will be back late on Wednesday night and then we will go to the Doctor on Thursday morning. We have a pretty eventful week!

Next Thursday....

We have one more week to wait to see what our little angel is. We are very excited! Our little baby is definitely growing and so am I. I had to finally pack up all my regular clothes and go shopping at the "pregnant" store!! :) I haven't felt anything kick, but I also don't really know what I am looking to feel. I'm sure it will be clear soon enough.

One more month!!!!

We found out today at the doctor we will know what sex our baby is the first of October. I have bought several things already, so I guess we'll see if our guessing is right. We are very excited to begin to register, buy pink or blue and start thinking of names. We talk about names, but the conversation always ends in a fight! Ha Ha Ha We can't ever agree on anything.

As Big as a Grape!

Today we got our second ultra-sound to find out our due-date! It was quite exciting. In the beginning, it was moving around SO much, that the lady couldn't even get a measurement!! Once it quieted down, we got good measurements and heard a strong heartbeat. Our little one lost its tail a few weeks ago, so we saw fingers and toes. It is becoming more exciting to know we will soon know what sex it is in just a few weeks. It is 10 weeks and 2 days today and is due on February 25, 2009. Time is moving fast.....

It's A Real Baby!

We got our first ultra-sound today! We were worried that something would be wrong, but we heard a strong heartbeat and sound a gigantic blob!! Well, it wasn't gigantic! The lady said it was about the size of a sesame seed. We still don't have a due date because the doctor said that it was too small to get a good measurement. We are going back in three weeks to get a good measurement and find out when we can expect our little package.

The Good News!

On Thurday June 19, Rich and I got the good news that I was going to have a baby! We were very excited, but it was quite unexpected. I had gone to the doctor to get my yearly check-up and talk about fertility options, since we had been trying for over a year. Needless to say, after discussing many expensive options, my doctor came back and told me none were needed! It was a huge surprise and I think since then, we have both been in shock! We told all our family this past week and everyone is very excited. I get a sonogram on Wed to see our precious little pumpkin seed.
