Beach Trip!

We took Ellyson to Ocean Isle, NC over the Memorial Day weekend! It was her first "official" beach trip. We were excited for her to show off her awesome swimming skills in the pool, but the water was WAY too cold...so the skills will have to wait until next time. The best part of the whole trip, though, was when Ellyson got to meet her uncle. Uncle Jay came to see us on Sunday and stayed until Monday. He loved playing with his neice. We were very sad to see him go because we just don't know when we will get to see him again. We are trying to talk him into selling his house and moving to Richmond! Pleeeeeeease Uncle Jay??????

Happy Mother's Day!

What a great day today! I remember thinking this time last year that I would never be able to celebrate Mother's Day!!! God is so good! Ellyson is growing up so fast and we drag her along everywhere we go....one of Rich's youth loves taking pictures, so we have made her our personal photographer! She is really good, too! Yesterday we went to watch some soccer games of youth that go to the church and Alex came along with us to take pictures! Today, we went to church and then ate lunch with Rich's family. Then, I got to enjoy my Ellyson Caide all day in the fabulous weather. We are just so thankful for her.

Visiting Gran...

Ellyson and I took off to Durham to visit Gran before she had her surgery on May 4th. Daddy took his youth to the beach, so it was just a girl's weekend! Gran got to love on Ellyson, give her baths and put her to bed. Ellyson loved being at her Gran's house. We also got to visit all our friends...Angela, Papa Arnold, Diane, Martha, and Reich. Bella also had fun having a spend the night party at Angela's with her best friends! Ellyson is growing up fast...she was 2 months old on the 6th and got her first shots today. She was so brave!
