Ellyson meeting her great-grandparents in Durham!

Daddy feeding Ellyson her first bottle....it mostly went down her shirt!

Ellyson taking her first bath...she loved it!

We took Ellyson to meet Robin and Seth at Virginia Beach....she was perfect and daddy had fun in the hot-tub!

Aunt Robin loving on her Ellyson Caide....Ellyson wanted to know where her 5 sisters were????

We stopped in Williamsburg on the way home to give Ellyson her first history lesson!

She liked the shuttle ride so much, she fell asleep!

Ellyson Caide has had many new things happen during her third week of life! This past weekend we took a trip to Durham to meet Ellyson's great-grandparents! It was only one night, but I think we packed everything she owned! She did a lot better than her momma did....whew! It was a lot of work but totally worth it to see Great-Grandma and Great-Grandad. The weekend before, we met Robin and Seth at Virginia Beach for one night. Robin ran the St. Patrick's day marathon, so we had to go check on her after it was all over!! Although it was Ellyson's first trip to the beach, she didn't even see the beach because of the cold temperatures and wind. She was wonderful and is such a good little rider in the car! This week Ellyson also had her first bath and her first bottle. The bath went a little better than the bottle! We discover new things everyday! She is growing SO quickly and is ready for Easter!

A Week Old....

Getting ready for the ACC Tournament...Go Hokies!

Snuggling with Angela and Bella

Daddy stealing kisses before we leave the hospital

Waiting to leave the hospital and go home!

I can't believe our little Ellyson Caide is already a week old!! We've had a really good week. Ellyson sleeps all day...we can't even wake her up when we try!!! She has had some really good nights, with four hours or more of sleep....and then some nights where she wanted to "party all night!" She is more beautiful everyday and has her daddy wrapped around her little finger already! Rich has been working from home all week, so it will be hard on all of us on Monday morning when we don't have our daddy hanging out with us anymore. Here are a few pictures from Ellyson Caide's first week! Enjoy....

Ellyson Caide Catlett has finally arrived.....

Our precious little Ellyson Caide finally came on the morning of March 6th at 11:46AM. She weighed 8lbs 12oz and measured 22 inches!!! She was definitely cramped for room, as her mommy already could attest to! It was so wonderful and Rich and I were so happy and excited that she was healthy. The hospital stay was good and we came home on Sunday afternoon. She has been eating and sleeping and that is about it! We try and play with her, but life is so hard when you are a newborn! She absolutely LOVES her daddy and has already been learning new tricks picking up her head when they have "tummy time" together! I call it their "working out time." Today we made a trip to the doctor and she weighed 8lbs 3oz, but the doctor said that was fine. She told us that Ellyson Caide was in perfect health, which we were so grateful for. Life is different now, but full of joy that the Lord has given us. We are so blessed to have this little angel.

Snow Day!!

We got about 10 inches of snow starting last Sunday night! Rich says this isn't normal for Richmond, but we were definitely happy to see it! It reminded us of fun times back in Crossnore. Since our baby girl still hasn't arrived, we took tons of pictures of the snow that she missed. She is now about 5 days late and we are ANXIOUS, to say the least. We have been ready for her now for at least a month and the waiting is killing us. The doctor said today she weighs 8 pounds and that they will have to induce by the end of the week!! It is exciting to know that this weekend, we will be a family of 3!!!
